About Lilian Wittmack
: Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Wittmack immigrated to the United States in 1949 for a one year contract with Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. For six years in a row, she was the All-Danish national jumping and dressage champion. In addition, she was the first woman to win The Grand Prix de Lucerne jumping competition. Her legacy continues as she was inducted into the U.S. Dressage Federation in 2016.
